Our Story

Story Finders In Wellness

The art of storytelling has a rich history steeped in creativity and the usage of diverse mediums. Stories
are uniquely tailored to reflect the cultures represented throughout the world. Storytelling provides a
means to impart personal legacy, communicate thoughts, and to depict the highs and lows of life.
Storytelling is empowering and liberating as the writer determines the narrative. StoryFinders in
Wellness believes there is an inimitable, defining story in each of us. Drawing upon those characteristics,
StoryFinders creates a partnership through outpatient mental wellness and substance abuse
therapeutics which aid the creation of the next authentic page of your journey. At StoryFinders in
Wellness, we pride ourselves in meeting each client at their individual level of need with compassion,
empathy, and commitment to forge comprehensive treatment plans reflective of lifelong recovery goals.

Flower Lady

Meet The Flower Lady! It’s a nickname affectionately coined by several of my clients reflecting the coordinating hair flower and the gratitude felt by feeling seen, heard, and not judged. With more than 10 years of mental health nursing experience in diverse settings including prisons, clinics, in-patient hospitalizations, and youth Psychiatric Rehabilitation Treatment Facilities (PRTFs). Additionally, I hold a
Master’s Degree in Education, graduate certificate in Addiction Counseling, and have spent more than a decade engaged in my local public school system as both a teacher and a volunteer. My forte is assisting others in finding solutions to problems and I embrace the process through the creative arts, CBT, person-centered focus, animal assisted therapy, and empathy.
